With only 160 CIRP fellows worldwide and just 20 in the United States, this recognition is among the highest distinctions in the discipline. Bedekar becomes only the second CIRP fellow from Ohio, underscoring his exceptional achievements in research and innovation.</span></p><p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12px;">Bedekar joined Timken in 2005 and currently leads materials development initiatives, specializing in advanced coatings, surface engineering and materials science for industrial applications. He earned his Ph.D. in materials science and industrial engineering from The Ohio State University. He also holds a master’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Arkansas and a bachelor’s degree in metallurgical engineering from COEP Technological University, Pune, India.
